The Celestial Cinema is at the Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course, on the amphitheater-like slopes of the golf-course driving range.

Where do I park for Celestial Cinema?  top



Parking for Celestial Cinema is at the Wailea Special Event Lot. From there, you take our complimentary shuttle service.  The only parking available at the Gold and Emerald Course is for patrons with reservations to Gannon’s Restaurant and/or Maui Film Festival Wailea 2014 VIP Patron Passholders.

 


Is there a Shuttle Service?   top



A free shuttle, courtesy of Akina Aloha Tours, will take festival attendees to and from the Celestial Cinema and Special Event venues. Celestial Cinema shuttles run continuously starting at 6:15 pm. Opening Night Reception shuttles begin at 5:15pm. Taste of Wailea shuttles begin at 4:15 pm. All shuttles will return to the Special Event Parking Lot at the end of each Special Event and Celestial Cinema Feature Film.
 
 Return shuttles will drop off guests at Wailea resort properties and the Wailea Event Parking Lot upon request.

"For guests staying in Wailea Resorts, complimentary shuttle service from the hotel main entrance (side entrance at the Fairmont Kea Lani) is available to Celestial Cinema and all events except Filmmakers Panels, Filmmaker’s Brunch and Soirée at Spago."

There is no shuttle service to Maui Arts and Cultural Center.

 


Where is Celestial Cinema Will Call?   top



Celestial Cinema Will Call is at the ticketing counter in the lobby of Gannon’s Restaurant and the Gold & Emerald Golf Course Pro Shop.  The shuttle buses will drop you off right in front of it.

 


What is a good night to bring my kids to the films?   top


Parents are urged to research films for appropriateness for their children.

Kids 12 & under are free for Wednesday (June 4) and Thursday (June 5) films at Celestial Cinema at Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course. Wednesday will be screening GODDESS and Thursday will be screening the surf film THUNDERCLOUD.
Please note: TAKING MY PARENTS TO BURNING MAN, screening at 10:00pm on Wednesday, not appropriate for 17 yrs and younger.

Tickets for kids 10 and under are $10 for Celestial Cinema and Castle Theater, although this is not meant to imply that the films are necessarily appropriate for children. 

Children’s tickets must be purchased by phone or at the door.

 


How is Seating Arranged at the Celestial Cinema?   top


Seating at Celestial Cinema is on the grass, and is arranged on a first come first served basis. To make things more comfortable, please feel free to bring your own low back beach chairs, blankets, and pillows or towels to sit on. You may also rent a low back beach chair for $5 per night. Rentals require a $15 deposit refunded upon return of chair.

Special arrangements available for persons with disabilities.

Special seating available for patrons dining at Gannon’s Restaurant before attending Celestial Cinema and/or Maui Film Festival Wailea 2013 VIP Patron Passholders.

 


Can I bring my own Food and Beverages to Celestial Cinema?   top


No. Outside food, beverages, or coolers are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.

 


Are Food and Beverages Available at the Celestial Cinema?   top


Yes. Gannon’s Restaurant prepares a mouth-watering array of options for sale at the Celestial Cinema.  Nightly offerings will include salads, wraps, sandwiches, and delicious hot dinners, including vegetarian options.  Snack items ranging from popcorn to candy will also be available.

Celestial Cinema is an alcohol-free venue. Soft drinks and bottled water will be available.

Maui Film Festival is proud to offer recycling bins in which to place your cans, cardboard, plastic and glass containers.

 


How do I pay for food at Celestial Cinema?   top


Scrip, purchased with cash, is the currency used at Celestial Cinema for food and beverages.  There is an ATM on site.

 


Where is Seaside Cinema?   top


Seaside Cinema is at the Grand Wailea Resort on the Chapel Lawn.

 


Where do I park for Seaside Cinema?   top


Complimentary valet parking is available at Grand Wailea front entrance. Bring your stub to Seaside Cinema for validation.

 


How is seating arranged at Seaside Cinema?   top


Seating is provided. Outside chairs and blankets are not allowed.

 


Are food and beverages available at Seaside Cinema?   top


Yes. Grand Wailea chefs will be offering an array of gourmet picnic baskets ($25)  and desserts ($15). No outside food or beverages allowed.

 


How do I get tickets for the Tributes?   top


Tributes are ticketed with the film that they precede. See our film guide at mauifilmfestival.com for specifics.

 


Is food available at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center?   top


Yes, delicious food prepared by local restaurants and caterers will be available in the Yokouchi Founders’ Court.  Call the MACC Box Office for specifics regarding time and menu at 808-242-SHOW.

 


What is the Attire for Films and Events?   top


Attire for films is casual. Evenings can be cool at Celestial Cinema and Seaside Cinema. Bringing a sweater or light jacket will guarantee your comfort for the evening.  Attire for all Special Events is "Resort Wear", including the Taste of Wailea, our signature event.

 


Are Minors Allowed at Special Events?   top


The Taste of Wailea is restricted to guests 21 and over. Please bring I.D. if you are attending Taste of Wailea. Minors are allowed at all other festival screenings and events.   

 


Where Can I Purchase Tickets?   top


Tickets are available for sale on our website at MauiFilmFestival.com. Select passes and tickets are also available at our kiosks at Whole Foods Market in Kahului May 23rd – June 8th and at the Shops at Wailea from May 28th – June 8th.

If I Ordered Passes or Tickets Over the Phone or Web, Where Do I Pick up my Tickets?   top


All Passes are available for pick-up at the Will Call at the first film or event that they include. All Film and Event Tickets are available for pick-up at that event Will Call.

Special Event Tickets and Passes ordered prior to June 2nd are also available for early pick up at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center box office on June 3rd between 10am-5pm.

Will tickets be available at the door?   top


Celestial Cinema will have door tickets available for $25 each, which grants entry for the entire evening.  Celestial Passes will also be available at the door for $94 – good for 4 admissions on any night.

Seaside Cinema will have door tickets available, if evening is not sold out in advance, for $50 each.  Check online or call MFF Box Office 808-579-9244 for status update.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center will have door tickets at $15 per film.

Special Events will have door tickets available unless the event is sold out.  Please check our Special Events page on the website prior to event for status. 

 


Can I take pictures at the films and events?   top


Use of video cameras is strictly prohibited at all Maui Film Festival Wailea venues. 

 


Pass & Ticket Holder Admissions Policy    top


  • Admittance to the Taste of Wailea is limited to those 21 years of age or older. Bring your I.D.
  • Pass holders must arrive no later than 15 minutes after the scheduled start time of all Special Events to guarantee admission, and at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of any Film, Panel, and Tribute to guarantee admission. Any pass holder arriving outside of the above noted time frame will be given priority admission on a space available basis, but can not be guaranteed admission.
  • Ticket holders must also arrive at least 20 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of any Film or Tribute to guarantee admission.
  • Please be advised that rain or shine, and without exception, all Pass and Ticket sales are final and no refunds or exchanges will be made.
  • If lost, stolen or destroyed, Passes and Tickets will not be replaced.
  • Maui Film Festival staff and volunteers work year-round to ensure that a good time is had by all. That said, festival management, either directly or through its volunteers and staff, reserves the right to refuse admission to, and/or remove from any Festival screening, panel or special event, anyone whose actions are deemed troublesome and/or dangerous to other Festival attendees, guests, volunteers or staff.
  • Film, Panel, Tribute and Special Event schedules subject to change without notice.

Cameras and recording devices will not be allowed in Festival Event venues.
