KING OF CALIFORNIA
Academy Award winner Michael Douglas stars alongside Evan Rachel Wood, in this dramedy, about a recently released from a mental institution jazz musician's quest to discover what he believes to be long lost treasure buried under a local Costco. Rolling Stone's Peter Travers called the film a gift that "focuses on the magic worth finding between a father and daughter" and the SF Chronicle loved how it "reminds me of those '70s-era pictures beloved of the counterculture about appealing rebels who go down in flames of moral victory". Rated PG-13. 93 min.

THE DECEMBER BOYS
A charming tale, starring Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter blockbuster fame, and Teresa Palmer, about four orphan teenagers growing up in exotic, outback Australia during the 1960s, who share a life-altering holiday at the seaside. It's been called a "Tasteful and gorgeously photographed coming-of-age story" by the NY Post, and a "Crowd Pleaser" according to the LA Times, for its refreshingly gentle treatment of familiar themes such as the inevitability of change, the dashing of youthful illusions and mutability of family. Rated PG-13. 105 min.

KING CORN
King Corn is a feature documentary about two friends, one acre of corn, and the subsidized crop that drives our fast-food nation. In King Corn, Ian Cheney and Curt Ellis, best friends from college on the east coast, move to the heartland to learn where their food comes from. With the help of friendly neighbors, genetically modified seeds, andpowerful herbicides, they plant and grow a bumper crop of America’s most-productive, most-subsidized grain on one acre of Iowa soil. But when they try to follow their pile of corn into the food system, what they find raises troubling questions about how we eat-and how we farm. Unrated.

A true story based on centuries-old oral traditions, a youthful Milarepa is propelled into a world of sorrow and betrayal after his father's sudden death. Destitute and hopeless, he sets out to learn black magic - and exact revenge on his enemies - encountering magicians, demons, an enigmatic teacher and unexpected mystical power along the way.
