WHERE IS THE CELESTIAL CINEMA?


The Celestial Cinema is located at the Wailea Gold & Emerald Golf Course, on the amphitheater-like slopes of the golf- course driving range.

 

WHERE DO I PARK FOR CELESTIAL CINEMA?


Parking for Celestial Cinema is at the Wailea Special Event Lot. From there, you take our complimentary shuttle service. Parking at the Gold and Emerald Course is only available for patrons with reservations to Gannon’s Restaurant and/or Maui Film Festival Wailea 2019 VIP Patron Pass holders. 

 

IS THERE A SHUTTLE SERVICE?

 

Celestial Cinema shuttles run continuously starting at 6:15 pm. Opening Night Reception shuttles begin at 4:45 pm from hotels only. Taste of Wailea shuttles begin at 4:45 pm (from both resort hotels and the Special Event parking lot). All shuttles will return to the Special Event Parking Lot at the end of each Special Event and Celestial Cinema Feature Film. Event Return shuttles will drop off guests at Wailea resort properties and the Wailea Event Parking Lot upon request. "For guests staying in Wailea Resorts, complimentary shuttle service from the hotel main entrance (side entrance at the Fairmont Kea Lani) is available to Celestial Cinema and all events except Filmmakers Panels, Filmmaker’s Brunch and Soiree at Spago."

 

WHERE IS CELESTIAL CINEMA WILL CALL?

 

Celestial Cinema Will Call is at the ticketing counter in the Gannon’s Restaurant and the Gold & Emerald Golf Course Pro Shop lobby. The shuttle buses will drop you off right at the door.

WHAT IS A GOOD NIGHT TO BRING MY KIDS TO THE FILMS?

Parents are urged to research films for appropriateness for their children. Tickets for kids 12 & under are $10

 

HOW IS SEATING ARRANGED AT THE CELESTIAL CINEMA?

 

Seating at Celestial Cinema is on the grass and is arranged on a first come first served basis. To make things more comfortable, please feel free to bring your own low back beach chairs, blankets, and pillows or towels to sit on. You may also rent a low back beach chair for $5 per night. Rentals require a $15 deposit refunded upon return of chair. Special arrangements available for persons with disabilities. Special seating available for patrons dining at Gannon’s Restaurant before attending Celestial Cinema and/or Maui Film Festival Wailea 2019

CAN I BRING FOOD OR BEVERAGES TO CELESTIAL CINEMA?


No. Outside food, beverages, or coolers are not allowed. Thank you for your understanding.

 

ARE FOOD AND BEVERAGES AVAILABLE AT THE CELESTIAL CINEMA?


Yes. Nightly offerings will include salads, wraps, sandwiches, and delicious hot dinners, including vegetarian options. Snack items ranging from popcorn to cupcakes will also be available. Celestial Cinema is an alcohol-free venue. Soft drinks and bottled water will be available for purchase. Maui Film Festival is proud to offer recycling bins in which to place your cans, cardboard, plastic and glass containers. HOW DO I PAY FOR FOOD AT CELESTIAL CINEMA?


Scrip, purchased with cash, is the currency used at Celestial Cinema for food and beverages. There is an ATM on site.

 

HOW DO I GET TICKETS FOR THE TRIBUTES?

 

Tributes are ticketed with the film that they precede. See our film guide at mauifilmfestival.com for specifics.

 

IS FOOD AVAILABLE AT THE MAUI ARTS AND CULTURAL CENTER?


Yes, delicious food prepared by local restaurants and caterers will be available in the Yokouchi Pavillion.

Call the MACC Box Office for specifics regarding time and menu at 808-242-SHOW.

 

WHAT IS THE ATTIRE FOR FILMS AND EVENTS?

 

Attire for films is casual. Evenings can be cool at Celestial Cinema and Toes in the Sand Cinema. Bringing a sweater or light jacket will guarantee your comfort for the evening. Attire for all Special Events is "Resort Wear", including the Taste of Wailea, our signature event.

 

ARE MINORS ALLOWED AT SPECIAL EVENTS?

 

Our Special Events (Taste of Summer, Taste of Chocolate & Taste of Wailea) are restricted to guests 21 and over. Please bring l.D. Minors are allowed at all other festival screenings and events.

 

WHERE CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS?


Tickets are available for sale on our website at MauiFilmFestival.com. Select passes and tickets are also available at Whole Foods Market in Kahului and at the Shops at Wailea.

IF I ORDERED PASSES OR TICKETS OVER THE PHONE OR WEB, WHERE DO I PICK UP MY TICKETS?

 

All Passes are available for pick-up at the Will Call at the first film or event that they include. All Film and Event Tickets are available for pick-up at that event Will Call. To pick-up your purchases, you must bring the credit card used and photo ID.

 

WILL TICKETS BE AVAILABLE AT THE DOOR?

 

Celestial Cinema will have door tickets available for $25 each, which grants entry for the entire evening.

Celestial Passes will also be available at the door - good for 4 admissions on any night.

Maui Arts & Cultural Center will have door tickets at $15 per film.

Special Events will have door tickets available unless the event is sold out. Please check our Special Events page on the website prior to the event for status.

 

CAN I TAKE PICTURES AT THE FILMS AND EVENTS?

 

Use of video cameras is strictly prohibited at all Maui Film Festival Wailea venues.
